Mr. Ermenc's 6th Grade Math Club participated in this year's Texans Stats Challenge, presented by SLB in collaboration with Region 4 ESC.
Each week for 6 weeks, students solve math situations relating to the Houston Texans and NRG Stadium. At the conclusion of the 6 weeks, students create and submit a video essay explaining what they learned through participating in the challenge and how the challenge helped them in their everyday studies. The Houston Texans organization selects 10 submissions from the participating schools in the greater Houston area to win the Grand Prize: Tickets for the Luxe Suite at NRG stadium to attend the Houston Texans game on December 31, 2023 against the Tennessee Titans! The Luxe Suite experience provides free food, drinks, snacks, and a meet-and-greet with Texans cheerleaders, along with other goodies.
Three NRJH students were selected as winners for this year's grand prize: Javier Hernandez, Logan Schaefer, and Wesly Dickerson! It was a huge honor to attend the game with these amazing students. ~Mr. Ermenc
