​​Greetings Longhorn Community! 

My name is Dr. Kelly S. Hudson, and I am excited to begin my 18th year in secondary education at Nolan Ryan Junior High School! In 2006, I began my journey as a secondary educator in the Houston area. In 2016, I joined the AlvinISD family teaching and learning at Shadow Creek High School. My secondary experience includes teaching Reading Language Arts/English grades 6 - 12, Department Leadership/Instructional Coaching and Campus Administration. As a servant leader, I have developed many core values that have served my students and me well. What has stood out as I served students, teachers and parents in a school community is that - what you sincerely invest in dictates the depth of its outcome. So with my whole heart, I will continue to hold my students accountable to help them meet their highest attainable standard by providing social, emotional and learning support. I look forward to each day with each of my Longhorn students, and I thank each one of them in advance for the lessons they will teach me.

Also near to my heart, my incredible family of 5 sustains and motivates me daily. I most enjoy time with my sweet softball-playing princess; discovering new adventures with my brilliant son; laughing and chasing my littlest son-shine; saving the world one day at a time with my partner in crime. I am blessed to have a supportive family, superhero siblings and an unmatched circle of friends. I genuinely love my life - the people in it and what I get to do for students - everyday!

My name is Nikolaus Kinzie, and I am beyond blessed to be the newest member of the NRJH Longhorn team. I am returning to Alvin ISD for my tenth year in the district and my sixteenth year as an educator. I am a graduate of Texas A&M in College Station, where I received my undergraduate degree and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University for my master's. Currently, I am a student at the University of St. Thomas (Houston), where I am working on completing the final year of my doctoral program. My passion is to achieve excellence in all the students and teachers I work with. I believe that education is the greatest act of love we can give our students and I get so excited by the opportunity to walk into classrooms and engage with everyone while they are busy learning. I am so proud to have the opportunity to serve the community of NRJH!

When not at school, I am a devoted family man. I have been married to my wife, Jennifer, for thirteen years. We have three wonderful children who are the light of my life: Claire (10), Bennett (6), and Ethan (3). Claire and Bennet attend Meridiana Elementary. I am an avid soccer fan and consumer of almost all science fiction. I love learning about American history related to the 1920, which partially explains my collection of flat caps! We have two dogs, two cats, and two fish. Finally, I am a massive fan of bowties because, as we all know, bowties are cool!
