
Students in Theatre 1 and 2 got a hands-on demonstration for special effects stage makeup. Students used stage makeup to create black eyes, infected zits, and aged makeup!





40 RMJH students attended the Lone Star Celebration as a reward for their literary efforts. Eagles met the author of A Forgery of Roses, enjoyed the STEM Bus, participated in Maker Space stations, and played on Freedom Field. We had a blast on the field trip!

Amy Frake from the Holocaust Museum in Houston gave a special presentation to 6th graders visiting the McNair library on Tuesday. The students were intensely engaged and asked amazing questions to gain a deeper understanding of the atrocities that occurred during WWII.

Another fun maker activity happened in the RMJH library today! Students had a blast making pom-pom bookmarks!





The RMJH library hosted a Tiny Art Show painting session. Students had a great time participating! Stay tuned for the Tiny Art Show display that will showcase the talents of our library patrons!





Students in Principles of Applied Engineering are designing and building their own puzzle cubes! They'll be testing them on students and faculty next week!







Lion King Jr. rehearsals have started! Miss Scott, the music director is working with the ensemble on the opening number. Our Choreographer, Mrs. Bell is working with students on the stampede dance. Finally, a student is working with the Director, Mrs. Kiekel-Strouts on ASL as we work towards making our musical more inclusive. This year, not only will our show feature amazing acting and singing but every song will be presented in ASL as we work on creating Alvin’s first Shadow Show. A Shadow show is where American Sign Language is presented not just off to the side but within the action on stage with all the performers.

As theatre preps for the next unit, students are using balloons to demonstrate some of the challenges they may face while doing improv.

Dexter, the retired lab rat, was a big hit in Mrs. Punwasi's Medical Detective Class!







Students in Mrs. Punwasi's medical detectives class had a visit from Baylor neuroscience student, Tori Norton. Students learned about neurological conditions, current research and got to meet Dexter, a retired and happy little rat!
