Greetings Eagles!  I am Lisa E. Hicks, wife, mother, friend, and servant Leader of Dr. Ronald E. McNair Junior High School.   This is my 13th year as an administrator with Alvin ISD. Prior to becoming principal of RMJH, I served as principal of Glenn York Elementary (5 years), and Assistant Principal of Hood-Case Elementary and Stevenson Primary. Prior to being employed with our amazing district, I worked as a teacher in Pearland ISD, and a teacher and Staff Developer in New Orleans, LA.   

I am beyond excited to experience Junior High and I look forward to the challenge!  I most definitely consider myself an Instructional leader and I firmly stand by George Evans' quote, “Every child can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way.” Our commitment at RMJH is to provide a safe, engaging, and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become creative problem solvers, innovative thinkers, and well-rounded citizens.  We are partnering with you to grow your child academically, socially, and emotionally.  It is my goal to give all Stakeholders their best experience ever.  

On a personal note, family and faith are extremely important to me. I have been married to Brian Hicks, Sr. for 30 years, and we have two amazing adult children, Brian, Jr., and Jaazz Imani, and a grand-fir baby (Reaux).  I am also a faithful servant at my church, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.
