Hello, I'm Toriano Taylor. I was born and raised in Pineville, Louisiana. After completing my education at Northwestern State University, I embarked on a fulfilling career in the field of education. For the past 18 years, I have been dedicated to shaping the minds of young learners and helping them reach their full potential.

Outside of my professional life, I am fortunate to have a loving and supportive family. I have been happily married to my wife, Alta Mathews, for 12 years. Alta is a proud graduate of SFA and Texas A&M. I am a proud dad to my daughter, Iyanah, who is currently pursuing her education at Southern University.

In my approach to education, I strongly believe in three pillars: Safety, Rigor, and Character. Creating a safe and nurturing environment for students is essential for their growth and development. I also strive to challenge students academically, pushing them to achieve their best through rigorous standards.

Moreover, I believe that character development plays a crucial role in shaping well-rounded individuals. Teaching values such as integrity, empathy, and resilience is just as important as imparting knowledge. These principles guide my teaching and interactions with students.

Family, faith, and service are the driving forces in my life. They inspire me to make a positive impact in the lives of others and guide me in my journey as an educator. I am excited to continue this journey here at Rodeo Palms Junior High, empowering students to achieve greatness while instilling in them the values that will serve them well throughout their lives.
