This week at Marek, Mrs. Alexander’s ECSE classes had a great time learning routines and creating their social contracts!
What an amazing first week at Marek Elementary! These kids are ready to learn! Everyone is teambuilding and working hard already! It's going to be a great year!
Marek would like to highlight an incoming 4th Grader with an AWESOME, PRODUCTIVE summer! Lily read the most minutes for the Astros reading program and won a scholarship for a music magazine essay contest! We are so proud of our girl!
We are back to school learning and it was amazing! Our wonderful administrators brought in Drum Cafe for us and they were spectacular! We are SO excited to be back!
As our families prepare for back to school, we wanted to give a quick reminder on Alvin ISD's Cell Policy.
The district permits students to possess personal cell phone for safety purposes.
Smart watches (including Fit Bits), earbuds (including Air Pods), headphones, mobile game consoles and all other electronic devices are not permitted.
Cell phones must be remain powered off and stored away during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes.
Over the coming weeks, we'll spend some time focusing on why AISD finds it necessary to limit cell phone and smart device use during the school day.
Go to www.alvinisd.net/handbook to view the full Student Handbook.
These future Marlins are prepping for kindergarten by reading and writing 10 min a day! Don't forget to complete the Marek Summer Reading Log! #AlvinISDReads
