Two Alvin ISD students have been selected for the prestigious National Math Stars Program, a multi-state initiative that identifies exceptional young math talent and provides long-term support to nurture their abilities. Kyree Williams, a 3rd grader in Mrs. Chen & Mrs. Watson's class this year, was one of the two AISD students selected. Each year, thousands of 2nd and 3rd-graders are nominated nationwide, but only a select few are chosen for this rare opportunity. Following a rigorous evaluation process, Kyree and Thomas stood out among nominees from across the country and will now receive 10 years of free support and advanced educational opportunities. Through the program, they will gain access to mentorship, advanced math enrichment, STEM and coding programs, competitions, and other unique experiences! Congrats, Kyree, we are so proud of you!!! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Next weekend, @AlvinISD will celebrate our 100th anniversary at Freedom Field near ICHS. In honor of that upcoming celebration, we are sharing historical flashbacks on our social media pages. This week, we're celebrating our very own Mrs. Marz, she's served Alvin ISD for many years as a 1st-grade teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and, of course, now as principal. Alvin ISD is a place where educators want to be, and Mrs. Marz is a great example of that. Congratulations, Alvin ISD and Mrs. Marz, for decades of service to our students, past and present. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Third grade students are learning about the order of the planets.  Mrs. Chen's class created some scaled Solar System models. Students put the plantes in the correct order and the relative scaled distance from the sun to the planets. They had astronomical fun working on the project. They totally "rocket"! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Sometimes science can appear inside the halls of Wilder, not just in the classrooms. This morning, Mr. Riley found a wolf spider covered with her babies on her back and took her to Ms. Abraham and Ms. Bowens' science classrooms to show students before safely releasing her back to the great outdoors. He may have also brought it to Mrs. Sullivan's office and scared her half to death-- LOL. Great job, Mr. Riley, for helping bring science to life for our Wilder Wolves. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Raising the flag is a huge responsibility for our students at Wilder Elementary! Our Flag Patrol plays a vital role in starting each school day with a powerful reminder of what it means to be a good citizen. It teaches them about responsibility, respect, and the significance of honoring our nation's flag. This daily act isn't just a tradition; it's a valuable lesson in patriotism and community. Being part of the Flag Patrol instills a sense of pride and encourages students to reflect on the values our flag represents. It's a fantastic way to teach them to be responsible leaders and respectful members of our school and community. Help us thank our awesome Flag Patrol students for their daily dedication, despite the weather. Special thanks to Mrs. Hudzietz for always teaching our students to do this job correctly and with honor. #WIlderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

What a successful morning! Today, we held our very first fire drill of the year. The safety and security of our students and staff are our top priorities at all times. That’s why we conduct regular drills for various emergency situations. Practicing these procedures ensures that everyone knows what to do in the event of a real emergency. We are so proud of how quickly and calmly everyone evacuated the building. Please ensure you speak with your student about always cooperating and taking drills seriously! #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Mrs. Paolini's 1st-graders enjoyed a read-aloud from the Elementary ELAR Curriculum Coordinator, Ms. Natalie Buford. The read-aloud was all about boogers , but there were lots of laughs, and it'll probably be a book these kiddos won't forget any time soon. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Our resilience shines brightest when we come together. It doesn't matter if we're facing a storm or celebrating a victory; we show up for our neighbors. That's the Texas way—supporting one another through thick and thin. We're hoping all our Hill Country friends have a great start to the 2025-2026 school year. @HuntISD #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

On Wednesday, August 20th, let's show our support for our Hill Country friends by wearing green. As we all know, the Hill Country suffered significant losses on July 4th, and Hunt ISD was one of the areas hardest hit. So much so, they had to postpone starting school until the 20th of this week. In honor of their strength and struggles over the last month and a half, let's all wear green and show our support for our fellow Texans from afar. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD @HuntISD

Wilder is excited to announce our TEA rating. We never believe that test scores define who we are, but it does show our growth from one year to the next. We went from a B-rated campus to an A and that's all because of the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. This shows that hard work, dedication, and diligence pay off. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD

Throughout the last week Mrs. Sullivan met with students and explained how we've "upped" our Wilder Bucks game this year, and Friday Mr. Riley shared with our 5th graders as well. Now Wilder Bucks will be saved & each is worth a certain number of points. Points are then be used to "purchase" super cool items from the school store. Students earn Wilder Bucks by being independent learners who are dedicated, enthusiastic & respectful. Encourage your Wilder Wolves to work hard earning Wilder Bucks so they can "purchase" awesome rewards from the school store. #WilderWolves #BuildingBrightFutures #AllinAlvinISD
