Yesterday, the Alvin ISD Education Foundation Winners Wagon delivered 119 Innovative Teaching Grants totaling over $107,000 to 33 campuses in Alvin ISD! Congratulations to all grant recipients, we're excited to see these grants in action next year.

Reduce, reuse, recycle! Glenn York students participated in a plastic bag recycling contest sponsored by @HEB and collected a total of 10,900 bags! Their efforts will keep the bags out of landfills and give them a new life after being recycled! #EarthDay

The Educational Theatre Association has recognized Alvin ISD for its commitment to theatre education with a Premiere Communities for Theatre Education designation. With this recognition from EdTA, Alvin ISD is one of only three school districts in Texas -- and 25 communities in the United States -- to receive this three-year distinction!

This weekend, Alvin ISD helped the Alvin High School Class of 1972 celebrate their 50th class reunion with a Bus Tour of Alvin ISD! The members couldn't believe how much the district has grown!

Shadow Creek High School DECA students Meggie Ngo and Celine Nguyen competed in the Community Giving Project at the State Competition on March 9 – 11, 2023. They were finalists for their event, and have advanced to the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida which takes place April 22-25. DECA is an association of marketing students that encourages the development of business and leadership skills through academic conferences and competitions. Texas boasts the largest DECA Association in the nation. Congratulations and good luck!
