September is the month for celebrating workforce development and associated programs and professionals and this year Alvin ISD is using it as an opportunity to celebrate alumni and students from our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs. Throughout the month, we will post videos highlighting some special alumni who are using the education they received from Alvin ISD's CTE Program to jumpstart their careers!
Harby Hawks soar high and they soared a little higher on Thursday as we dedicated the newly renovated Harby Junior High!

This evening, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees & the Alvin Community College Board of Regents met to discuss the impact of House Bill 8 on Dual Enrollment as well as current and future endeavors between Alvin ISD and ACC. We can’t wait to continue and strengthen this amazing partnership.
Alvin ISD is currently hiring crossing guards to help us keep students safe as they come to school in the morning and head home in the afternoon!

The Alvin ISD Board appointed Gabe Garza to replace Vivian Scheibel for position 7 on the Alvin ISD School Board. Mrs. Scheibel resigned as she will be moving out of district. Mr. Garza has served the community in many capacities and will be a tremendous asset to the Board.
