Alvin ISD has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence, earning high rankings on Forbes' 2024 America’s Best Employers lists. The district ranked 26th out of 100 on the America’s Best-in-State Employers list and 90th out of 400 on the America’s Best Mid-Size Employers list. Among educational institutions, Alvin ISD stands out, ranking #2 among all education employers in Texas and securing the #7 spot nationally among Pre-K-12 entities.

Forbes, in partnership with market research firm Statista, compiles the annual rankings through an extensive survey of more than 170,000 U.S.-based workers. These surveys evaluate companies based on workplace conditions, company culture, and overall employee satisfaction. Respondents also rated whether they would recommend their employer to others, a key metric in determining the rankings.

Superintendent Carol Nelson shared her pride in the district’s accomplishments: “We are incredibly honored to be recognized as one of the top employers in both Texas and the nation. This recognition speaks to the strong culture we’ve cultivated, where our staff feels valued and empowered to contribute to student success. It’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our entire Alvin ISD family.”

Alvin ISD, which falls under the mid-size employer category (organizations with 1,000 to 5,000 employees), continues to be a standout not only in education but also among employers nationwide. These prestigious rankings highlight the district’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a supportive and thriving work environment for all employees.
