I have been a teacher with Alvin ISD for 23 years. I have only been with the Options program for 4 years. I can honestly say they have been the best years of my teaching career. The opportunities that Options has to offer our students makes my job very easy. I get to help kids every day. Not only do we help our students graduate; Through this program, I am allowed to help them get to school, get to work, get to school from work… If they are hungry we feed them, if they need their clothes washed… we wash them. We offer them the opportunity to go to college when they graduate. All we ask from the student is that they put in the work to be successful. It is my goal to make sure every student that enters my classroom knows they are important.
