First grade students learn about the life cycle of a chicken during this last nine weeks. We were lucky enough to hatch 4 beautiful chicks in an incubator in the classroom and bring them to the library for all students to see. Students excitement was evident! In the library Mrs. Morrison's third grade students implemented design time using color code robotics with Ozobots. First, they chose the color path patterns they wanted their device to follow, then they tested them out. What an engaging and fun way to wrap up the week!. #AlvinIsd #AllInAlvin #MTEroars

This week our selected First Chapter Friday Book Club Meeting was the text, Mercy Watson by Kate DiCamillo. There are several books in the series, so as we read a few chapters our goal is to get students hooked on reading the rest of the book and books in the series.
