Back to School the Maverick Way kicked off!
We are less than 24 hours from our back to school event. We are excited to help start our Mavs 2024-25 school year off right. Booths will be open 5:30-6:30 followed by a B2S meeting at 6:30.

The Majestics started the season off attending Marching Auxiliaries Dance Line Camp in San Antonio. The team was awarded Grand Champion for their final day performance. They also received an outstanding technique and an outstanding work ethic award. Congratulations Majestics!
Thank you to the Kolache Shoppe Pearland for donating over 200 kolaches to MHS for our first day of back to school professional learning.
As our families prepare for back to school, we wanted to give a quick reminder on Alvin ISD's Cell Policy.
The district permits students to possess personal cell phone for safety purposes.
Smart watches (including Fit Bits), earbuds (including Air Pods), headphones, mobile game consoles and all other electronic devices are not permitted.
Cell phones must be remain powered off and stored away during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes.
Over the coming weeks, we'll spend some time focusing on why AISD finds it necessary to limit cell phone and smart device use during the school day.

Hoka Hey Shoutout to our JV and Varsity Cheer who competed at NCA Camp this week. JV took home 6 awards & Varsity took home 4 awards. The Mascots took home 3 awards. McKinley Smith was awarded the Top All American Medal for receiving the highest All American score at Camp!
