Mrs. Tehas’s class enjoyed a special guest reader yesterday! After reading, students explored their five senses and made predictions as they learned through a fun, hands on experience. What a great way to learn and discover together! 👀👂

We are so grateful for our Alvin ISD police officers who work hard to keep our students and staff safe each and every day! 💙💛 Yesterday, Officer Thibodeaux spent some time on the playground playing football with our students. Science is all about asking questions and making predictions! Ms. Wilder’s second graders conducted their first science experiment of the year to determine whether an orange would sink or float, peeled or unpeeled! 🍊

Ms. Washington’s fourth graders created their own personal reading bookshelves! 📚✨ What a fun way to celebrate their love of reading and showcase their favorite books!

Ms. Glenn’s first graders wrote and drew pictures about how to be good listeners! 👂📚 We love seeing our Jaguars practice important skills that help them learn and grow! 💛

Ms. Saenz’s Pre-K class worked on their fine motor skills with some fun back-to-school tear art & tracing! ✂️🎨 We love seeing our little Jaguars learn, create, and have fun! 💛💙

Mrs. Zavalla’s class had fun creating First Initial Name Art! ✏️They used their creativity to turn their first initial into a unique work of art! 💛

Ms. Nieto’s class had a great first two days of school! 📚✨ They’ve been learning routines and procedures, and are so excited to start building strong foundations in 1st grade! 🧱💛

Mrs. Vicknair’s classes spent some time getting organized and setting up their notebooks! 📚✏️ They’re ready to start the year strong and fill those pages with lots of learning! 💙💛

Mrs. Mejia’s classes got creative with Selfie Sculptures! 🎨✨ Students created 3D sculptures where each piece represented something unique about their personality. What a fun way to express themselves through art! 💙💛

It’s bittersweet when your former first graders come back to visit you as fifth graders! 🥹💛 It’s hard to believe that so many of our Jaguars are entering their final year of elementary school. Watching them grow over the years is truly something special! 🐾📚 #WeSeeYou

Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Glaude and I will be teaching 5th grade Science and Social Studies this year!

A little bit about me:
🍎 Experience: 17+ years in education (7th year in the classroom!)
🎓 Education: Texas Southern University grad & currently pursuing my Master’s in Educational Administration.
👶 Family: Mom of 2 amazing kids—one starting Pre-K and one finishing her senior year of nursing school at HCU!
🚜 Fun Fact: I love going off-road mudding in Crosby!
