The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT.  It is given in October to all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students at Alvin High School.  The PSAT is provided to you free of charge.  Benefits of the PSAT for students are that it provides them with a preview of what the SAT is like.  It allows students to register for the Student Search Service, making it easy for colleges and scholarship programs to find them.  The PSAT also automatically screens 11th grade students for the National Merit Scholarship Program, as well as provide feedback on which AP courses a student has the potential to be successful in.  For more information about the PSAT, click on the links to the left, and utilize the resources below.
