Behavior Support

At Savannah Lakes Elementary, we strive to use positive behavior interventions with our students. Many teachers in Alvin ISD have been trained in and use strategies from Capturing Kids' Hearts and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) along with other successful, research-based behavior practices.

We encourage continuous communication between home and school so that we all work together for the best educational experience for each child.

This page was created as a resource for teachers and parents to learn about and find the best strategies that can support various behaviors seen at home and in the classroom. All students respond differently to redirection and positive reinforcement, so finding the best strategies for each child takes time.

We are here to assist teachers and parents with behavior supports in any way, so e-mail our Counselor, Mrs. Terry (mterry@alvinisd.net), our Assistant Principal, Ms. Baker (pbaker@alvinisd.net), or call the office to schedule a time to meet.
