I am proud to be the first principal of Bob and Betty Elementary. I started my career as a third grade teacher before working with students receiving special education services. Prior to opening this beautiful school I was the principal at Alvin Elementary and the assistant principal at Walt Disney Elementary. This is currently my 19th year in public education and my 12th year in Alvin ISD. I am a proud alumni of both Bavlor University and The University of Houston Clear Lake. My husband David and I have two amazing daughters who attend Alvin ISD.

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to Bob and Betty Nelson Elementary. As we begin each year, we reflect on the life and legacy of teachers like Mrs. Betty Nelson who served her community as an elementary teacher for many years. Each day we will strive to carry forward her spirit of excellence as we impact both present and future generations of Alvin ID scholars.
