The Annual Alvin ISD Education Foundation Gala was held Saturday, September 17 at South Shore Harbour Resort.  The event brought in over $160,000 for the Foundation thanks to the generosity of the nearly 350 guests, sponsors and volunteers.

"Celebrity Waiters" added to the fun atmosphere with their decorations and antics. Alvin Community College Vice President, Development and Outreach Wendy Del Bello served as the master of ceremonies and Dr. Kris Schoeffler was the auctioneer for the evening. 

Generous sponsors made the event possible including Diamond sponsors Stantec and Huckabee, and Platinum sponsors GAMMA Construction, HEB, ISC, and PBK. Gold Sponsors were Claron Salter-Clark – State Farm, Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union, J. Headley Properties, Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, LLP, Senator Elect Mayes Middleton, and Jacob White Construction. Silver sponsors were AMOCO Federal Credit Union, Community Health Network, GPD Group, Imagine Learning, and the Friends of Shadow Creek High School Off Broadway Theatre. Social Hour sponsor was Associated Credit Union of Texas and Dinner Wine sponsor was Orrick. The Photo Booth sponsor was Food Service Design, the Dessert sponsor was Texas Emergency Care Center, and the Photography sponsor was First State Bank.

“The gala is always a fun event because of our Celebrity Waiters who work hard to serve and entertain our guests,” said Sheila Olson, executive director of the Foundation.

Special thanks to the waiters who raised over $12,000 in tips due to the generosity of the guests they served.
