Recently, the Alvin ISD Education Foundation visited Alvin High School, Manvel High School, Shadow Creek High School and RISE Academy to recognize the top 20 students of the Class of 2022 at all three high schools and the top two graduates at RISE Academy.

Craig Rhodes, principal at Shadow Creek High School, announced the top twenty students for the Class of 2022. Valedictorian for the class is Abigail Garcia and is the Salutatorian is Jerry Liao. The following students hold the next 18 spots: Samah Haidar, Nimah Haidar, Ananya Udaygiri, Owen Cai, Julia Luhrsen, Ahmed Alcassab, Aditya Udaygiri, Jayadityasinh Vaghela, Ammar Sethi, Aidan Ngo, Nikhil Surapaneni, Ella Hestand, Emily Tieu, Rishan Nandi, Abel Thomas, Rishi Vangala, Riley Dou, and Hooriya Azhar.

Aeniqua Flowers, principal of Manvel High School, along with her counseling staff announced that the following students are the top twenty students in the Class of 2022 at Manvel High School: Valedictorian is Amelie Satterwhite and the Salutatorian is Anthony Brooks while Hang Nguyen, Pyrakroth Pho, Larissa Aspiras, James Allender, Cyril Mencias, Jaaziel Sandoval, Jasmine Cabusao, Aleena Prasad, Carter Pahl, Madison Coward, Louan Dang, Benjamin Mooney, Kassandra Serrano, Russel Ogbor, Mario Medeles, Joseph Onwukwe, Marisol Morales and Monserrat Rios make up the remaining top twenty students.

Karen Taylor, principal of Alvin High School announced the names of the top twenty students. Valedictorian for the Alvin High School Class of 2022 is Kali Lewis while Riley Mager holds the honor of Salutatorian. The following students fill the remainder of the top twenty spots: Amber Matula, Abby Goolsby, Alejandra Acosta, Susan Henderson, Silvana Galicia, Anna Wilson, Alexia Sims, Alexander Borgfeld, Charlize Barron, Madeleine Geiman, Keith Carle, Victoria Caughman, Kearstyn Vail, Tanner Marek, Gricell Garcia, Katelyn Reynolds, Jacob Amerson and Eric Blanco.

The top two students at RISE Academy were announced by Principal Brandy Johanson. Elizabeth Bennett is the 2022 Valedictorian, while is the Dakota Rhyne Salutatorian for the academy.

The Alvin ISD Education Foundation will honor these sixty two students at the annual Celebration of Academic Excellence on Wednesday, May 17. Each student will have their most influential educator as their guest. "This special evening enables the Alvin ISD Education Foundation to celebrate our outstanding teachers and students,” said Sheila Olson, Executive Director of the Foundation. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the celebration. “We hope to have every table sponsored,” Olson added.
