Alvin ISD is pleased to announce the five finalists for elementary and secondary Teachers of the Year for 2021-22.

These teachers will partake in an interview process before the committee chooses the Alvin ISD Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year. This announcement will take place during the Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony being held on May 12. The Paraprofessional of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year will also be announced at this time.
The Alvin ISD Employee Recognition Ceremony is a time for the District to recognize the outstanding employees for the 2021-2022 school year. Individual campus Teachers of the Year, Paraprofessionals of the Year, Rookie Teachers of the Year, Principals of the Year, department employees of the year, years of service award winners, and retirees will all be honored during the ceremony.
“Alvin ISD has the best staff in the state,” said Carol Nelson, Alvin ISD Superintendent. “The work they do each day for our students comes from the heart and it shows. I am so proud of all of our educators and staff, but a special congratulations goes out to these finalists and campus winners!”
