Brazoria County Fair in Angleton, TX is a long-standing tradition for many Alvin ISD students. BCFA hosts student contests from livestock competitions, rodeo, art, photography, and more. This year, many Alvin ISD students were awarded top honors for their hard work and dedication in a variety of categories.
Starting at the top, Natalie Flores of Manvel High School was named Rodeo Queen for BCFA. Her hard work both inside and outside the arena paid off when she was crowned on October 3. Not only was she named BCFA Rodeo Queen, but was also awarded 2021 Miss Personality & Attire (speech contest) and 2021 Miss Photogenic.
In the BCFA Fair Queen contest, the winner of Miss Congeniality was Megan Unruh, of Shadow Creek High School.
Our district was well represented in the market animal shows with numerous members winning their class or placing in the top 5.

Students from all three Alvin ISD high schools work year-round to perfect their showmanship and handling skills while in the arena. The true dedication is shown when they step foot into the show arena and exhibit their projects. This year students from Alvin, Manvel, and Shadow Creek won numerous showmanship awards in all areas of the livestock shows.
