The EC Mason Elementary traditions were upheld during Alvin ISD’s special dedication ceremony on September 21, 2021.
“What a wonderful tribute to Mr. Mason and the entire EC Mason family,” Superintendent Carol Nelson shared. “Mr. Mason was a longtime educator and administrator who valued the small details on campuses because he knew everything, and everyone, plays an important role in educating students.” The original EC Mason building, housed on Lewis Lane, was built in 1979 to educate the students and families within the Manvel community. The new campus, built less than a mile away, features a two story design with extensive educational opportunities for all students. “Our traditions here at Mason are unmatched as past principals, educators and students continually share their fondest memories on the campus,” Principal Monique Gadson shared. “I am looking forward to bringing those traditions, as well as making new memories for many years in our beautiful new facility.
EC Mason replacement campus can accommodate more than 800 students in the 103,000 square foot facility and is located in Manvel right off of Hwy 6.
