The Alvin ISD Education Foundation Turtle Race and Fun Run are canceled and will not be rescheduled due to the extreme winter weather's impact on our families and community. We are disappointed by this cancelation, but the safety of our staff, volunteers, vendors, donors and participants is our top priority.
In lieu of our scheduled proceedings, the Turtle Race prize winners will be decided by a drawing held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 9:00 am at National Oak Park Alvin under the pavilion. Entrants are not required to be present to win. All winners will be notified following the drawing and the information will be shared on the Foundation website www.alvinisd.net/educationfoundation, Facebook page and Twitter.
All Turtle Race Fun Run registrants will now be virtual racers. We hope registrants will find a safe time to complete their race and share photos on our social media. The Fun Run shirts and medals will be distributed once Alvin ISD facilities are open and we can safely schedule pick-up dates and times.
