Over 1000 elementary students from Alvin ISD competed in the elementary UIL academic meet at Manvel High School on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25. Students represented their schools in the following competitions: Art, Chess, Creative Writing, Dictionary Skills, Listening Skills, Maps, Graphs and Charts, Music Memory, Number Sense, Oral Reading, Spelling, Storytelling, Spanish Storytelling, and Ready Writing.
