Each spring the Foundation accepts applications from Alvin ISD teachers and paraprofessionals for our Teacher and Paraprofessional Scholarships.  These scholarships are in the amount of $1,000 and are available to teachers and paraprofessionals that have worked in Alvin ISD for a minimum of three years.

Alvin ISD Education Foundation Teacher and Paraprofessional Scholarships are provided to practicing teachers and paraprofessional staff for the purpose of study at an accredited college or university, leading to either a first master's degree in education or related field (in the case of teachers) or a bachelor's degree in education (in the case of paraprofessionals) who intend to continue working for Alvin ISD for the benefit of our students. This scholarship is not for PhD candidates, certifications or trainings.

Persons Eligible to Apply for Scholarship:
Any Alvin ISD employee with a minimum of three complete years of continuous employment with the District as a teacher or paraprofessional may apply for scholarship funds up to $1,000.00 per person. Recipients must be committed to remaining with Alvin ISD after completing their education. Previous winners may not apply a second time. Master’s degree candidates must be current full time teachers and taking, or planning to take, a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester. Bachelor’s degree candidates must be full time paraprofessionals and taking, or planning to take, a minimum of 3 credit hours per semester.
