About Us

Mission and Vision 

The Alvin Independent School District Education Foundation, (the Foundation) in collaboration with the community and the school district, supports a quality education for the District’s students by generating and distributing resources to enrich, maintain, and expand programs to meet the District’s mission of offering exemplary programs enabling all students to possess the ability to learn for the rest of their lives and become productive citizens. The Foundation recognizes the value of educational success for all students, therefore the Foundation will support and recognize staff for innovative efforts and exemplary performance, build community and alumni awareness, develop and enhance partnerships with employees, business and industry, and inspire parents, community and former students to participate and be involved in our schools.

Goals

  • Raise funds to support programs identified by the Foundation as funding priorities

  • Provide funds for innovative teaching grants, campus grants, scholarships for students, teachers and paraprofessionals

  • Provide funds for recognition of outstanding employees and administrative professionals
    Provide funds for educational programs and opportunities outside the district budget, i.e., Spelling Bee, Red Ribbon Week, and the Alvin ISD Book Bus

  • Increase private support for educational activities in Alvin ISD
