Library Policies
Checkouts Allowed:
3rd-5th Grades - 3 books
**Students will not be allowed to check out if there are any fines/fees on their account or if they have any book 14 or more days overdue**
Overdue Books:
Students will receive a verbal or written notification if they have an overdue book each time they check out books. Notices for overdue books and fines are automatically emailed to parents every Monday.
Lost Books:
If a book is lost (60 days or more past due), the student will be responsible for payment of the cost of the book for replacement. The fine will be waived or refunded if the book is returned within 60 days of being marked lost.
Payment must be made through MySchoolBucks. Cash or check payments will also be accepted in the library. Once logged into MySchoolBucks, you will choose the "Library Book Obligation" option, then enter the amount owed and the book title to pay for the book.
Damaged Books:
If a book is returned damaged beyond repair, the student will be responsible for payment of the cost of the book. Books that need to be replaced may have these issues:
Excessive pages ripped or torn
Missing pages from the book
Excessively written in or outer cover damaged
The spine is damaged beyond normal wear and tear
The book is wet, water-damaged, stained, or contains mildew
Library Hours: 7:30 - 3:00 daily
Open Library/Checkout Times:
7:30 -8:15 before school with a library pass from the pod
3:00-3:15 with a library pass from a teacher
Students can come into the library throughout the day with teacher permission & a library pass.
Open library not available from 10:45am-12:00pm.
