Hello Voyagers!  I am honored to serve as the first principal of Nichols-Mock Elementary.  I have worked in education for 23 years, 13 being in Alvin ISD. I am a proud alumni of Sul Ross State University and Lamar University.  My husband Casey and I have a daughter Randi who is a 2023 graduate of Alvin High School and will study biology and run track at UT Dallas in the fall.  

As we begin our inaugural year at Nichols Mock Elementary, please know that the teachers and staff at NME will strive everyday to continue the legacy of our namesakes. Delbra Orum Nichols and Wilma Fountain Mock are both Voyagers in education.  It is an honor to continue to pass on the passion for learning exhibited by these ladies to the next generation.  LET THE VOYAGE BEGIN!

Assistant Principal

I am so honored and excited to become a part of the Voyager team and look forward to working with your children as they embark on their learning adventure. This is my 24th year in education, of which 19 have been with Alvin ISD. I taught 6th- 8th grade Social Studies at Alvin Junior High for 16 of those years, and spent the last two and a half years as the Instructional Coach at Fairview Junior High School. I am very passionate about your child's education and will strive to see that they have every opportunity to reach their goals. 

In my free time I love to travel with my wife and four children, two of which are Alvin ISD graduates. We also gather as a family to watch the World Cup every four years and cannot wait until Houston hosts a group stage.  My oldest son teaches within the district and my daughter is on the varsity soccer team at Alvin HS. I am a huge fan of the Astros, Texans (the last three years notwithstanding), and Rockets and love attending their games.
