President-Sarah Hippler

Hi, I'm Sarah Hippler, your PTO president! My family and I moved from North East Texas to Meridiana in 2019, and my kids love their school. I've always been involved, but never in any official capacity. When they asked if I wanted to step into this roll, it terrified me! But, here we are- a wonderful group of ladies who have truly stepped up and are excited to bridge the gap between our school and parents & the community.

A little about myself: I grew up in Southern California, and moved to Texas in 2004. I have 4 kids- 18, 11 & 9 year old twins. I  am also a full time Realtor®. I love my job! It allows me to serve people, and I love that I get to continue that with PTO. I can't wait to do big things for our campus with each of you!

Vice President-Jessica Wheeler

Hello everyone!  I'm Jessica Wheeler, proudly serving as the V.P. of the Explorer PTO and mom of two Meridiana Explorers and one at Manvel Junior High (two sons, Jaxon, [6th grade], Lochlan, [4th grade], one daughter Alexandra, [3rd grade]).    I'm a Houston-area native and work full-time as a District Manager at Burnett Specialists (recruiting firm), and I love my job! As you parents know, our children's education is always at the top of our priority list, so the PTO helps me stay connected!  Staying informed about our school's needs/goals, learning about student opportunities, and engaging in the processes of academic success for our kids is exciting! Working alongside our fabulous teachers/school staff and getting to know other parents through the PTO has been an excellent experience for my family and me.  As a working mom, finding unique ways to support the school while working during the day used to be a challenge.  The PTO gives me more opportunities to volunteer my time, even after hours from home.  So, while you may not always physically see me at the school volunteering during the day, you can usually find me helping as one of the organization's  "behind-the-sceners"; assisting with Explorer marketing and administrative initiatives: i.e., creating online signups, generating forms, organizing events (like spirit nights), soliciting for sponsors/donations, etc.

Treasurer-Morgan Wilson

Hello, my name is Morgan Wilson and I’m your Explorer PTO treasurer. My hunk of a husband Chris and I have 2 boys, we have lived in Meridiana since 2018. Grayson is in third grade and Graham is 3. You’ll usually see Graham helping me out around the school, I like to joke and say he’s on the Junior PTO board. My family is very supportive of my new role on the PTO board, they love to pitch in and help whenever they can. I’m very excited to be on the board and help our school grow and build our community. I can’t wait to watch us thrive this year and years to come!

Secretary-Sarah Hollier

My name is Sarah Hollier and I am the Secretary of the Explorer PTO this year. I have lived in Meridiana since 2016. I have a wonderful husband and 3 kiddos (Lily-7, Leah-5, and Luke-3). I taught a mix of special education, prekindergarten and  first grade for 10 years before deciding to stay home once we found out baby #3 was coming. I love being at home with my kids and watching them grow but miss being in the classroom and teaching!

As a teacher I LOVED having such a close relationship to my students' parents and guardians. I knew once I would have kids of my own that I wanted to be as involved as I could with the school and teachers. It's so important to get to know your child's teacher and have them know that as a parent they can openly come to me for anything.

In the world we currently live in today it's hard making so many decisions for the sake of our children's education, health and safety. Having such a great bond with their school makes me feel better knowing they're going to a safe and welcoming environment filled with loving adults who care for my kids.
