Meridiana Library

The mission of the Alvin ISD library program is to create and empower lifelong learners by advancing the academic expectations and aspirations of each student in every program to become accomplished readers, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, ethical users of information, and creative problem solvers.

The Meridiana Library will empower it’s Explorers to expand their love of text and technology in all its forms, in order to guide them along their path to becoming lifelong learners and readers.

Meridiana Checkout Procedures

Our library is so excited to welcome all students to the library each week for a lesson and to check out their books.

We will have open library Monday - Thursday mornings from 7:20 - 7:50. Students may come in to check out new books during this time!

Kindergarten through fifth grade students will check out two books at a time. If they are participating in our "A-List Reading Challenge", they will be allowed to have three books checked out at a time.

In order to check out NEW books students MUST return their current books checked out.  It is important to be responsible and take care of our library books, returning them in great condition.
