Thank you for your interest in substitute employment with Alvin Independent School District. Our online application system (AppliTrack) allows applicants to submit and update application information electronically. Interested individuals are encouraged to complete an application online when the position is open. Completing the substitute application does not guarantee a substitute employee position.

Substitute Pay Rates

Clerical
Daily	$75 (1/2 day is $37.50)
Long Term	72% of paygrade (if more than $75 per day)

Teacher (Sub has >60 College Hours)
Daily	$85 (1/2 day is $42.50)
Long Term	$105 (1/2 day is $52.50)

Teacher (Sub has bachelors degree)
Daily	$95 (1/2 day is $47.50)
Long Term	$125 (1/2 day is $62.50)

Teacher (Sub has teaching certification)
Daily	$110 (1/2 day is $55)
Long Term	$160 (1/2 day is $80)
	Long-Term positions are more than 10 consecutive days in the same classroom for the same teacher, on the 11th day, the long term pay begins Substitutes that work more than 4.5 hours will be paid a full day.*

Incentive Pay

When you work 15 full days each month, you'll earn:
-a monthly $300 bonus as a teacher's substitute.
-a monthly $200 bonus as a paraprofessional substitute.

With a limited number of days available in December, subs must work all 12 December work days to earn that month's incentive.
