Students must be 4 years old on or before September 1st to be eligible for Prekindergarten.
Prekindergarten Roundup Registration is June 2 - 12, 2025. Online applications may be submitted beginning May 12th.
Beginning May 12th, Kindergarten parents can begin the process for enrolling for next year.

Pre-Kindergarten Enrollment Requirements
Live within the Alvin ISD boundary
Be four (4) years of age on or before September 1st and,
Students must meet at least one of the eligibility criteria below to qualify for the Prekindergarten program:
Limited English Proficient: Be unable to speak and comprehend the English language. (Eligibility is based on results of Language Testing)
Educationally Disadvantaged: Eligible to participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), including students who receive any of the following benefits:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, (SNAP)
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Students can also qualify by bringing two current paystubs for each working parent.
Homeless: Children who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and/or who are sharing housing with others due to the loss of housing, economic hardship or a similar reason may qualify. Student Residency and Assistance Questionnaire (SRQ) required from Administrative Services.
Military Families: The child of a parent who is an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserved component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority or the child of a parent of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserved component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty.
Foster Care or Previously in Foster Care: Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Placement Authorization Form 2085, Court Order, or DFPS Letter of Verification required.
Star of Texas Award: The child’s parent/guardian has received the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer, firefighter, or an emergency medical first responder.
Parents or guardians of students new to the district should present the following items for their child at the time of registration:
Birth Certificate [Request Documentation Online]
Social Security Card(Social Security Number is recommended but not required. A student who does not provide or have a social security number will be assigned a state identification number.)
Two proofs of residency in the Alvin Independent School District:
A mortgage, lease or property tax statement of the parent/guardian seeking to enroll a child
a copy of a current electric bill, water utility or gas bill for the address identified (Cell phone bill not accepted)
In lieu of the above two items, an approved AISD residency affidavit can be used.
If you do not have the necessary documents required to provide proof of residency, please contact Student and Administrative Services at 281-245-2440 prior to scheduling an appointment.
Last report card or withdrawal form from previous school district
Parent/Guardian I.D. (driver's license, passport, military I.D.)

Two most recent paycheck stubs
EDG # (SNAP, TANF)
Records normally required of all students in order to enroll may not be required for students who are unaccompanied, homeless, or in foster care in order to enroll.
