The 6.0 weighted grade point average will be used to determine class rank. Grade points will be awarded once each semester for each course. One, two or three credit courses will receive the same number of grade points per semester as a one-half credit course.  

Example - If a student takes a course that is a 2-period course, GPA points will only be calculated once per semester for the course.

Example - If a student takes a course that is a 3-period course, GPA points will be calculated 3 times, once for each period, per semester for the course.
