All parents/legal guardians enrolling a student(s) will need to fill out the online application in Skyward (detailed instructions and link to request an account can be found here). Skyward is the software program used by Alvin ISD and is a secure, web-based portal that allows parents and guardians to enroll their student and access their child's school information, including grades, attendance, schedules, and more, all in one place.
To complete and submit the application, you will need to upload:
Birth Certificate [Request Documentation Online]
Two proofs of residency in the Alvin Independent School District:
A mortgage, lease or property tax statement of the parent/guardian seeking to enroll a child
Copy of a current electric bill, water utility or gas bill for the address identified (Cell phone bill not accepted)
In lieu of items 1 & 2, an approved AISD residency affidavit* from Administrative Services can be submitted for both
*Note: If the parent/legal guardian does not have a lease or mortgage statement in their name and/or resides with someone in the Alvin Independent School District attendance zone, visit Student and Administrative Services for the forms to establish residency prior to completing the application.
Parent/Guardian I.D. (driver's license, passport, military I.D.)
Social Security Card (Social Security Number is recommended but not required. A student who does not provide or have a social security number will be assigned a state identification number.)
Last report card or withdrawal form from previous school district
Records normally required of all students in order to enroll may not be prevent enrollment for students who are unaccompanied, homeless, or in foster care in order to enroll. Click here for more information or contact our District Homeless Liaison or our Foster Care Liaison at 281-245-2440.
Kindergarten Roundup
April 28th - May 2nd at your student's zoned campus.
June 2nd - June 12th at the Central Enrollment Center
To be eligible for kindergarten, your child must be 5 on or before September 1st.
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on April 14th - May 2 for enrollment at your child's zoned campus. At that time, you may complete the online application in Skyward to register for next school year and schedule an appointment at your student's campus to complete the enrollment process. Skyward will open again on May 12th for enrollment at the Central Enrollment Center.
Prekindergarten Roundup
June 2nd - 12th at the Central Enrollment Center
To be eligible for prekindergarten, your child must be 4 on or before September 1st and meet at least one of the additional eligibility requirements. Click Prekindergarten Information for more details.
Prekindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on May 12. At that time, you may complete the online application to register for next school year and schedule an appointment at the enrollment center to complete the process.
New Student Registration (All Grade Levels)
June 16th through July 3rd at the Central Enrollment Center
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on May 12th for all grade levels. At that time, you may complete the online application to register for next school year. No appointment is required with the exception of Prekindergarten. Central Enrollment staff will contact parent if other documentation or information is required.

Returning Student Registration (All Grade Levels)
Returning student registration will open in July.
Grade levels 3, 6, and 9 will be required to upload proof of residency.
All students previously enrolled on a residency affidavit or lease will be required to upload proof of residency.
Upon completion and approval of the application, you will receive notification that your student has been enrolled. If you do not receive confirmation by July 14th, please contact your student's zoned campus.
