This week, the Alvin ISD Education Foundation visited Alvin High School, Manvel High School, Shadow Creek High School and RISE Academy to recognize the top 20 students of the Class of 2021 at all three high schools and RISE Academy.
Kelly Hestand, principal at Shadow Creek High School, announced the top twenty students for the Class of 2021. Valedictorian for the class is Jenna Zamil and Nikil Vijayan is the Salutatorian. The following students hold the next 18 spots: Viren Govin, Leonard Aruj, Ariq Rabee, Tanish Gadde, James Laase, Alana Abraham, Nathanael Mathew, Nathan Gannon, Amy Brown, Jessica Liu, Isha Patel, Sneha Abraham, Lisha Shrestha, Juliana Sierra, Natalie Ta, Abdullah Cheema, Brianna Phan-Tran, and Gilan Choucair.
Aeniqua Flowers, principal of Manvel High School, along with her counseling staff announced that the following students are the top twenty students in the Class of 2021 at Manvel High School: Valedictorian is Anna Chau and the Salutatorian is Anh Kien Nguyen while Ysabella Domingo, Kylan Duncan, Cameron Flores, Kindsey Creel, Anne Hampton, Adam Mason, Isaiah Walker, Braden Cook, Sofia Castro, Talal Gbamgbola, Elle Petru, Annabelle Garcia, Alina Flores, Claire Read, Jordon Vaughn, David Silva, Zion Johnkins, and Chinwendu Ozumba make up the remaining top twenty students.
Karen Taylor, principal of Alvin High School announced the names of the top twenty students. Valedictorian for the Alvin High School Class of 2021 is Trenton Parker, while Wyatt Rayhill holds the honor of Salutatorian. The following students fill the remainder of the top twenty spots: Loralei Miller, Kaitlyn Field, Jamey Shewmake, Trinity Hulen, Sheridan Schmidt, Daniel Gajic, Jose Contreras Cruz, Adrian Aguilar, Gabriela Dantzman, Cody Smith, Alyssa Hayden, Ruth Turner, Brayden Wright, Samuel Woodward, Lindsay Parthum, Jordan Curtner, Jennifer Torres, and Moncerrat Ramos.
The top two students at RISE Academy were announced by Principal Brandy Johanson. Naomi Dempsey is the 2021 valedictorian, while Nicholas Hiatt is the salutatorian for the academy.
The Alvin ISD Education Foundation will honor these 62 students at the annual Celebration of Academic Excellence on Wednesday, May 12. Each student will have their most influential teacher as their guest. "This special evening enables the Alvin ISD Education Foundation to celebrate our outstanding teachers and students,” said Sheila Olson, Executive Director of the Foundation.
