Safe and Secure Schools
Alvin ISD is committed to ensuring each child is physically and emotionally secure in our schools. All students, teachers, staff and administration are trained for and follow the Alvin ISD Standard Response Protocols.
Standard Response Protocol
Our school has adopted The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and drilling the protocol.

Learn the Terminology
Standard Reunification Method
Circumstances may occur at the school that require parents to pick up their students in a formalized, controlled release. This process is called a Reunification and may be necessary due to weather, a power outage, hazmat or if a crisis occurs at the school. The Standard Reunification Method is a protocol that makes this process more predictable and less chaotic for all involved. Because a reunification is not a typical end of school day event, a reunification may occur at a different location than the school a student attends. If this location is another school, then those students may be subject to a controlled release as well.

See Something, Say Something
In Alvin ISD, the safety of our schools is paramount. We know that students and parents are our first line of defense for reporting unusual activity or safety concerns. Please let a teacher, school administrator, or the Alvin ISD Police Department (281) 331-2320 know if you see or hear anything of a concerning nature. If you believe it is an emergency, call 911. You can also turn in a tip using our "Let's Chat" platform.
We will continue to be vigilant for any opportunity to improve our policies and procedures and we ask for your input through our “Let’s Chat” platform. Every suggestion will be read and formally considered. Thank you for your ongoing partnership with Alvin ISD.
